A Return to Middle Earth or at least hobbit cafe houstonThe Hobbit Cafe, 2243 Richmond Avenue @ 8PM. After our recent trip, that we enjoyed very much, we were impressed by the very nice selection of beer and tasty food.

This goes without saying but please remember to bring cash and be nice to your waitstaff, we are after all treating a smallish restaurant like a pub.

Also please let us know if you’re coming by posting a comment so we can arrange for enough seating.

CC license 2.0 image courtesy http://www.flickr.com/photos/duststorm/It’s no secret that Hobbits love beer.  Not surprisingly, The Hobbit Cafe, 2243 Richmond Avenue, has a fairly nice selection: a series of taps are largely rotators, with a Saint Arnold Seasonal usually available, as well as at least one Belgian and one Pale, plus a decent bottle selection. And yes, they come in pints–and larger!

Come join us around 8 PM for a pint and possibly a Bilbo-esque late supper of a Smaug sandwich.  But keep yer pipe-weed smoking on the porch: this is Houston, after all.
