Wish your buddies from Middle Earth a happy new year, as Afteryule is the first month in the Shire Calendar.  Come join the fellowship at 8 PM tonight at 2243 Richmond Avenue, home of possibly the Houston Parking Lot of the Year (2010, Gregorian Calendar).  Additionally, a nice small rotating tap list is complemented by a good bottle selection and great food.

Given the variability of the weather at this time of year in these climes, you might have been surprised when you woke up yesterday morning to the cool, crisp weather.  Ok, for you native Houstonians, this might count as cold.  Either way, bundle up to your level of comfort and join us at 985 Wakefield at 8 PM.  We’re sitting inside if there’s room, but it’s always better to be prepared, right?

Though their selection rotates with some regularity, there’s always something interesting at the Station, and Happy Hour lasts all Monday night.  If you don’t have dinner plans, there’s a burger special on offer as well.

Cooler weather makes us thirsty for strong beers and sometimes a flip or two.  See you at Anvil Bar & Refuge 1424 Westheimer Rd. Ste. B, 8PM.  Park in one of their lots or watch out for No Parking zones.  There’s little chance of precipitation, but there’s a very good chance that holiday treats will be present.
