Monday, 21 November 2011: Post-Beer-Week Drinks at Anvil Bar & Refuge

Houston Beer Week may have come and gone again, but every week is beer week for Diasporites.  Anvil Bar and Refuge, 1424 Westheimer, is the best bet on lower Westheimer for a good beer.  See you there at 8 PM.  As always, take note of the local parking reality, and stop by for a draught or a cocktail.

Down House, named for the family home of Charles Darwin, is a pretty cool “Coffee Restaurant Bar”, whatever that means.  It gained some bit of notoriety a few months ago for a certain twit-storm that got started there.  SD doesn’t know anything about all that; all we know is, they cook good food, and they serve good beer and cocktails.  So, keep those tweets positive, and see us at 1801 Yale St. for drinks at 8 PM, or a bit earlier if you want some grub.

Join us tonight at Hans’ Bier Haus (2523 Quenby St. at Kirby Dr.).  Even if you can’t tell your boccino from your pallino (hint: they’re the same thing) on the bocce court, and there should be plenty of beer to quaff. Temperatures should be rather nice, a light jacket or sweater might be a good idea.
