Monday, 2 March 2015: Independent Texan Beers at Whole Foods Post Oak

whole-foods-post-oak-cosmoOn this day in 1836, 59 delegates and the secretary of the convention signed the Texas Declaration of Independence at Washington-on-the-Brazos.  Thus was formed the Republic of Texas and begun the Texas Revolution.  Texas would remain independent for ten years, until its admittance into the United States, though Texas’ independent spirit seems to at this point to be still very much alive.  Celebrate it today at the Post Oak Whole Foods, 1700 Post Oak Blvd at San Felipe.  Boasting the first in-house brewery of any Whole Foods, there are 20-28 beers on tap (whether their own, local (Texas forever!), or from far-flung places), and a Souvlaki grill.  Plus you can get some grocery shopping done too.  See you there at 8 PM.

Note that if the bar is busy, there is quite a bit of seating upstairs, so if you don’t find anybody you recognize downstairs, take the elevator in the back or the stairs in the front.
