Note that if the bar is busy, there is quite a bit of seating upstairs, so if you don’t find anybody you recognize downstairs, take the elevator in the back or the stairs in the front.
Monday, 26 October 2015: Mongoose vs Cobra vs The Pony Express
Posted by mike | Meetings | Posted on October 26th, 2015
On this day in 1861, The Pony Express ceased operations. Running for only 19 months and losing $200,000 (over $5 million adjusted for inflation), it nonetheless proved the viability of a fast (10-day), year-round mail route between Sacramento, CA and St Joseph, MO.
Commemorate this great feat with us tonight at MvsC, 1011 McGowan, at 8:00 PM. Note that the parking situation in midtown is ever-evolving, so consult the handy-dandy, superific, MvsC-specific parking guide before you head that direction. If you can’t make it, just send us a text or an email, no need to hire a courier, pony-based or otherwise.
